E-File Payment Bait and Switch

TurboTax has $20 fee to E-file state return and then asks you to login then wants charge you $25 once you enter credir card info. You then can not back out and close window and not pay the fee, it's basically extortion.

Will no longer be using TurboTax with this awfull behaviour................

Sorry there is a price increase on March 1 today. All the early prices expired.

But there will be a delay in Desktop program between March 1 when the price goes up and the next time the program update comes out, usually on Thursdays. It will show the $20 efile price but you be charged 25. Or the $40 for a state program instead of the increase to 45.

They may be lying anyway. It's not 4/4/22 and the same desktop $20 is on the screen only to be changed to $25 later. So, it was never updated on any Thursday in March. Bait.
