Trying to efile my son's 1040. He filed with TT for 2020. The AGI that TT inputs into the efile screen is different than the actual AGI on the TT prepared 2020 tax return. How can this be? Unable to efile because of mis-matched AGIs.

You can edit the AGI to enter the amount that shows on his 2020 tax return. Or, maybe his return was processed late by the IRS in 2020. The IRS was backlogged in 2020 which caused allot of returns being rejected for the 2020 AGI.

Or, try using a Zero for his 2020 AGI.
