Wrong state listed on 1099misc

I received a 1099misc that lists the wrong state in box 18 for state income. The issuer won't reply so how do I correct this? My state doesn't have income taxes!

You may need to describe the work situation...where the work was actually done..etc.

Example: You live in TX, but worked as a private contractor for a short time in OK.

Then it is OK taxable income and need to file that income in OK as a non-resident

...but if you worked remotely from where you lived in TX and didn't physically go to OK...then it should not be marked as OK income
