No you do not enter the stimulus check your mother received on your tax return. You did not receive it--she did. She does not have to pay it back. If you are claiming her on your 2021 return you will get the $500 credit for other dependents and you will be able to get the recovery rebate credit for claiming her on your own return.

We claim my mother as a dependent because she has no income other than $600 monthly SS payment and she lives with us. Since she has no income, she does not file a tax return. She did get the last stimulus money (no other ones in prior year). It went directly into her account. When I go thru the tax return, are we supposed to claim her stimulus as part of ours? The auto prompt fills in including her amount. I just want to make sure that we are not making any mistake. Thanks, Holly
