Hello Madam/Sir,

Even with today's update , the income in 6251 seems wrong. The seems to ignore cost basis of stock transactions for RSU/ESPP. Can you please fix your product ASAP.

The product on Mac seems really buggy. I see weird error message about worksheet having values. Alternative Minimum Taxable Income is suddenly increased by value of RSU sold. That added large amount AMT. I may have to buy another software to do taxes it seems this time.

I have really bad experience with this product this year with import of transaction from eTrade. Please fix your product.

Are you using Turbo Tax Online or Turbo Tax Desktop?

Also which version are you currently using?

It is Turbo Tax Desktop Premier.

Hi,

I am having the same issue. When recalculating for AMT, the program erased all the cost basis information. Has this been resolved? I will also contact customer service.

Hi,

For anyone else having this issue, go to the Employee Stock Transaction Worksheet and make sure the cost basis line at the very bottom of the page is not blank. In my case it was, even though I had entered the cost basis in the EasyStep process. Problem fixed. FYI, I'm using the desktop version on a Mac.
