Are you using the Desktop program? Some people are having trouble entering into box 5. This if this helps.

Are you running the TurboTax application as an Administrator? If not -

Save the tax return.

Close the TurboTax program

Right click on the TurboTax icon on your computer screen

Click on Run as Administrator

Start the TurboTax program and see if the problem persists

If you are using TurboTax Online, the most likely reason for a blank screen, buttons that don't work, or not being able to enter information is that something in the web browser is not displaying the page properly. The easiest way around this is to simply use a different web browser. You can select from Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, and more. If you need to install another browser, be sure to go to the trusted home site for the software for security reasons. Or you can clear the cache and cookies in your current browser. If you are using the Turbo Mobile App, try opening Turbo Tax in the browser window on your phone. It will use the same login information but may display the page better.

To enter SSA -1099 in TurboTax Online, please go to:
Click on Federal on the left toolbar

Click on Wages and Income on the top
Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security and click on Show More
Click on Start or Revisit for Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099)

@jontzeng I use the Desktop platform (CD/Download), and experienced a similar issue. Here's how I was able to workaround it.

Using the Search box, type in "SSA-1099". This should bring up the option to "Jump to". Click on that, and the screen to enter your SSA-1099 should come up.

the blue upside down balloon is on my SSA-1099 form and the form will not let me enter information. Did anyone encounter this????

This was a suggestion and has been successful for TurboTax CD/Download.

See if this will help - Save your tax return.

Close the TurboTax program.
Right click on the TurboTax 2021 icon on your computer screen.
Click on Run as Administrator
Start the TurboTax program and continue your tax return.
See if the problem has been resolved.
