I cannot import my 1099 from Pershing this year. My 1099 has been available since last week. Importing worked fine the previous two years. They updated their website from advisor.netxinvestor.com to investor.pershing.com a few months ago and it may be related to this. I get the message "There isn't any tax information to import now." Can you please fix this? I'm using Turbotax Premier Windows 10 version

From what you have stated in your question it appears that there is a disconnect between Pershing and TurboTax. Have you contacted Pershing to notify them of your issue and verify that they are participating with TurboTax this year.

If you are unable to download your information and have a hard copy of the forms you may want to consider manually entering your 1099 information.

Pershing informed me today when I called that although the 1099 was posted last week it wont be available for import until March 12, so hopefully it works then.

This information is very helpful. I just spent the last hour with Technical team and transferred 3 times since no one could explain why my tax document would upload to Turbo Tax. They suggested i call Turbo Tax since the issue would be on their end.

I am still unable to import the tax documents from Pershing. "Not availabe" Are you familiar with what the Financial institution number is? I have been informed to use CR3 by Pershing but not certian this is correct since the team at Pershing was not even aware the documents would not be available for download until today....

I am having the exact same problem with Pershing. When I go to import my 1099 into TurboTax, I get the error message "There isn't any tax-related info to import now." The 1099C is available to print on the Pershing website. I really don't want to enter this manually, as there are quite a few lines. Has Intuit looked into this to make sure the problem isn't on their end and/or contacted Pershing to resolve this?

go to this site https://www.netxinvestor.com/web/netxinvestor/login and click "look up" under "financial org#."

Then you enter the first 3 characters of your account number from your statement or on your profile when you log in. That will give you a different 3 numbers that you use in TurboTax.

That being said, I too am unable to import my 1099 and really hope this gets resolved soon. Even entering summary data will be a pain because then you are supposed to mail in your statements and Form 8453 to the IRS. Would rather not do that...

@ jtayl0r No, you don't have to send in a copy of your 1099-B. However, keep a copy of the 1099-B if for any reason you ever got asked by the IRS to produce documentation.

So despite what I was told by Pershing, I still cannot import my 1099. Thanks for the suggestion of typing it in manually, but as it is 44 pages, I won't be doing that!

@ngca mine was 40 something pages also. Turbotax has an option to summarize the transactions. On the statement the transactions are broken down by category (Short-Term Transactions for Which Basis Is Reported to the IRS - Report on Form 8949, Part I, with Box A checked; Long-Term Transactions for Which Basis Is Reported to the IRS - Report on Form 8949, Part II, with Box D checked, etc.) With the overall numbers at the end of the itemized transaction list for each category. Just enter that info. At most it's, what, 4-6 entries? Took me about 5 minutes to do.

@VictorW9 good to know! In TT there was a line in bold "to finish reporting these sales, follow the mailing instructions." That made me think we had to mail them in because it says "if you are e-filing your tax return, mail your statements along with form 8453 to..." the IRS.

I see now the note that says "Any sales summaries that include only Box A or Box D sales, and which have no adjustments to gain/loss, do not need to be included on a statement mailed to the IRS."

I apparently I missed that Note the first time around. Thanks for clarifying! Unfortunately I have whopping $1.08 in Realized Gain from a Box E transaction. Does than mean I have to mail this stuff in now?

I had the same problem. Late Friday evening on March 13. The importing 1099 from Pershing worked. I used the Pershing link, not the netxinvestor link.

It was available for me from last week. I used the newer website at investor.pershing.com When you login to the website can you see your 1099 document there?

Another possible workaround on this would be to update your settings in your Pershing online account to allow the import. Without updating the settings, it's possible the banking authority is blocking TurboTax from accessing the account. Please update these settings from your account online. You may need to call in your bank to get more information on this.

If this one does not work, you would have to manually enter, unfortunately.
