If my daughter lists me a someone she paid for baby sitting how does that effect my return?

I am disabled my husband retired on social security. We are paid around $400 a month to watch granddaughters. If they decide to claim child care, how will that affect my return if I did not include that dollar amount as income?

You must include the income whether she chooses to claim it or not.

Babysitting income is self-employment income and is entered in TurboTax under Federal>Wages & Income>Self employment income and expenses

Your babysitting income can be offset by related expenses and is subject to self-employment tax.
