I've tried almost 10 times to e-file my 2021 Fed return but it keeps on getting rejected.

Each and every time I filed, this is what I get from TT:

IND-032-04 - 'SpousePriorYearPIN' or 'SpousePriorYearAGIAmt' in the Return Header must match the e-File database.'

These are the actions I've taken all to no avail.

I created new pin numbers.

I used the pin number I had used the last year (2019 for 2018 tax) I was successful in e-filing. The subsequent years up to this year have all failed.

I retrieved my IRS transcript and confirmed my AGI is correct - it matched my tax return copy. I even added zeroes at the end of the AGI (xxxx.00) as was suggested by one of the TT responses to this same issue.

None of this worked.

It looks like I'd be mailing my return again this year like what I did in 2020 and 2021. It defeats the purpose of using TurboTax.

Very frustrated.

Please review this FAQ regarding your specific issue. The suggestion is usually to enter 0 as the AGI vs at the end. Please reply if your issue persists.

After 12 attempts, my return was finally accepted.

Thank you EbonyA for your reply.

For others who had the same rejection issue, here's what I did.

When TT asked for my AGI, I entered it accordingly. When it asked for my spouse's (my wife's) AGI, I entered zero even though we filed married joint last year. Previously, I'd been entering the same AGI like mine, but it would always fail.

I hope this will help others.

I entered "0" in for spouse's AGI and that solved the problem. I submitted it 6 times and got rejected 6 times until I saw someone's note about just entering "0" and NOT the amount on line 11. This is a TurboTax programming issue and they should either solve it or provide customers with the right instructions. Telling customers to just print the return and mail is a VERY BAD solution
