Form 1116

I updated my Turbo Tax Deluxe with the update for form 1116. I am going around in circles and I can not find any help. I am hearing impaired and can't call. I looked for your email address and there isn't any. I have a carry over Foreign Tax credit from last year and I can not find a way to enter it and have it credit this years taxes due. I hope this works because I have no other alternative as I live alone. Will someone PLEASE reply !

Yes, here are the steps to enter this.

Go to federal.
Deductions and Credits
estimates and other taxes paid
foreign tax credit.
The first screen asks if you have a credit or previous year carryover to enter. Say yes.
The next screen says before we begin. Answer the question as it pertains to you.
Now the program will ask about foreign income for this year. If you have none to report, just scroll through ALL the screens until you eventually get to a screen that looks like the snapshot below. This is where you will enter the Foreign Tax Carryover amount. Here is a snapshot on what that screen looks like. If you hve additional questions, please reach out. @jmb515
