It was rejected due to First Time Home Buyer Credit. I need to add form 5405 but there is nowhere to go in and make changes. I am not to amend, as they were rejected. But I can't find anywhere on the site to go in and changes and add the form. I've already paid.

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.

This will take you back to the 2021 online tax return.

Go to Federal>Deductions & Credits>Your Home>Homebuyer Credit Repayment

Thank you. Not intuitive but it got me to where I need to be. I now have a new problem. When I revisit the 2008 Homebuyer Credit Repayment, it gives me 3 options. When I select the appropriate option, it sends me back out to My Home. When I select revisit again, the "no" box is now selected. I want to select "Yes but the fine I received credit for stopped being my main home..." as it was transferred to an ex- spouse in our divorce.

It should not send you back to My Home.

After re-reading the instructions (it has been awhile) -

Go to this IRS website for the Repayment of the Homebuyer Credit and the FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/individuals/first-time-homebuyer-credit-account-look-up

You should not be repaying the credit - See the Form 5405 Instructions - https://www.irs.gov/instructions/i5405

If the home was transferred to a spouse (or ex-spouse as part of a divorce settlement), the spouse who received the home is responsible for repaying the credit (regardless of whether he or she was the purchaser) if none of the other exceptions apply.

Thank you. Yes I understand it is the ex-spouse who is responsible. But I can't add form 5405 to my return. When I click through My Home and select Yes, but the home I received the credit for stopped being my main home on or before December 31, 2020" then select Contininue, it takes me back out to the deductions. When I go back in to revisit the No selection is selected... every time. How do I work around this to add 5405 stating I transferred it to the ex in divorce? IRS keeps rejecting saying I owe FTHBC

That seems to be bug in the TurboTax program for the Form 5405. You need to contact TurboTax support for assistance and report your problem. It should be asking you follow-up questions.
