Letter 6419 is not required to file.

Verifiy your ACTC amount by looking at your bank statement.

Generally deposits started in August. If you input an incorrect amount, then the IRS will correct - bad news is that if the amount is incorrect then it will delay your Federal refund.

Do not mark check boxes. Just put a 0 (number) in the first line (blue). I have been fooling around with this for over an hour and finally figured it out.

TurboTax prompted me to complete a verification through Id.me. When uploading the documents requested, and completed the tasks suggested in it's entirety, I am unable to be verified despite providing all the accurate information. My husband or I do not have our Letter 6419, and I am trying to find alternate ways to obtain the information needed for our tax credit.

The recommended alternative if you did not receive Letter 6419 and you need to file your tax return, you can use the online CTC portals to check your information. Alternatively, you can get in touch with the IRS via mail or phone, with the latter being quicker and the number is: 800-829-1040.

If you are unable to confirm the amount you received under the above method, another alternative would be to add up the amounts that were either directly deposited in your bank account or the checks you received from the IRS. Use this number and indicate the number of children. Since the IRS sent two letters out one to the husband and one to the wife and each letter contained 1/2 of the amount paid, I would split whatever you did receive by 2 and put half in the box for the taxpayer and half in the box for the spouse. The number of children would be the same for both.
