It is usually on the top left. It should say "Wages, tips, other comp.", or something like that.

Sometimes the box numbers are pretty small. I have to use reading glasses to see them.

It's usually near the top, it is also labeled "Wages, tips, other compensation"

Box 1 is located on the right side of your W2 with the title "Wages, Tips, other compensation" . Please refer to the highlighted part of the image below for a reference.
