Where do i report the income received from handling an estate as an executrix?

Executor fees are entered in this way:

Income & Wages
Less common income
Miscellaneous income....start/update
Other reportable income
Any other taxable income...includes executor fees as one of the examples. Say Yes here and you will be able to enter the income on the next screen. Use a description such as "executor fee for Estate of John Smith " and the amount.

This amount will appear on line 6 of Form 1040 which comes from the Schedule 1 line 21.

That is a correct but old answer ... it will show up on line 8 of the Sch 1 now.
