Hi I accidentally put I never received the stimulus and I didn’t know my mother claimed me so I put I didn’t get them and now I can’t go back and change it?

Did your mother get the 1400 for you during the year? But you are claiming yourself this year?

If you were a dependent on a 2020 return but filing independent for 2021 you can get it now and they don't have to pay it back. So say NO you did not get one because you didn't one, your parents got it.

The 3rd Stimulus payment is really based on 2021. The IRS just sent the checks out using 2020 to get them out fast.

Ok I didn’t file independently last year this is my first year filing independently ? Do I still say no to the stimulus

And it never asked me to put my new w-2s on the screen? But it says I’m done?

You say No you didn't get the Stimulus payment. You can get it on your return now.

Dont file until you have entered all your income. Turbo Tax doesn't know if you have more forms to enter. Go back and enter them.

To add a W2 just type w2 (small W) in the search box at the top of your return and click on Jump To the W2

OR To Add a W2 enter it under

Federal Taxes on the left side

Wages & Income

Then Wages and Salaries- Click the Start or Update button

The Search box will be opened when you click on the magnifying glass and the word Search on the top right of the program screen.
