I have a supplement provided by a retirement agency. Can I upload that to my desktop software so that I can file?

It depends. Generally, you will not be able to upload a document into an e-filed return unless TurboTax asks for it. The IRS and state only want certain additional documents. It's their rules.

It's best to file by mal in those cases.
