To change from Premiere to Deluxe, unfortunately, you must Clear and Start Over. See Can I downgrade to a lower-priced version of TurboTax Online?

Are you using the Online version? Same answer as above.

I did that. Worked in deluxe edition, finished my taxes and during the review it said I need to change to premier even though I didn't have any stock sales or other items that warranted premier. At that stage it didn't allow me to go back to deluxe.

Finally I called TT support and the associate did a remote look-in and gave me a code that gave me a discount on final check out commensurate with TT Deluxe.

How do I change from the Premier edition for 2024 to the DELUXE edition for 2024? I have uninstalled the software and am trying to get going with the Deluxe (which I also purchased) but only the Premier keeps coming back up.

Why do you want to downgrade to Deluxe? The Desktop program can prepare unlimited returns and efile 5 for free. And you can use any version. All the desktop programs have the same forms. You just get more held in the higher versions.

But you can activate a second program. Under Help - Switch Product - Activate new product. Don't know what that will do or what benefit you will get. Don't think it will allow you to efile more than 5.

Then do you need a refund for Premier? You have 60 days to get a refund.
