How do I claim a child that I'm a legal gaurdian of but there is no relation between us and she is not in foster care. Am I able to claim her as my daughter because they don't have any where you can put legal gaurdian. I have supported her 100% since 2019, and she has lived with me full time since then as well.

Correction - You can claim her as your child since she is a foster child under your care.

Sorry, my mistake. I read your post to fast.

Since the child is not related to you in any way and is not a foster child placed with you by a court, then you can only enter the child as a non-related person who is not eligible for the child tax credit. They would only be eligible for the Other Dependent credit of $500.
