I was charged $78 and then an additional $90 for TurboTax Services.

Could anyone explain this to me? Was I charged in error? I paid $78 to file my Federal and NC State Taxes. I was having a bit of trouble and wanted to chat with someone. I upgraded to deluxe and was charged an additional $90. Why is this? Shouldn’t the $78 charge have been taken off?

You already was in Deluxe. $78 is for Deluxe federal and state. Did you log in to a different account? Or you upgraded to Deluxe Live or Full Service minus the fees you already paid. see prices here,

Yes your post shows the LIVE version. Deluxe Live is 119 plus 49 for state = 168. 168-78= $90 left to pay.

@VolvoGirl Is the only difference in Deluxe and Deluxe Live that you can chat with customer service at any given time? I just want to make sure that I wasn’t overcharged. I had paid $78, then I filed. My return was rejected so I decided to chat with someone. I had to pay an additional $90 before I could chat with someone.

Yep...."LIVE" full service would be an extra $90 for Fed + 1 state.

Then you are supposed to connect with a LIVE agent to get your Questions answered....and actual personal help with filing.

@VolvoGirl @When I try to review my charges in TurboTax, it only shows the $90 charge. However, I have both receipts for the $78 and $90 charges in my email and I can see the transactions on my credit card.
