SSI doesn’t have to be reported.

These benefits are not taxable on the federal level. You do not have to report income from Supplemental Security Income.

However, please keep in mind that some states use SSI in certain tax calculations. If you live in one of these states, TurboTax will inquire about your SSI in the state program interview.
