If you chose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, and if the IRS delays your refund (or if they reduce it to where it no longer will pay the fee), TurboTax will send billing emails asking to be paid. If not paid, they will send an email that they are about to debit your bank account. If you do not pay or ask them for a deferment, then they will indeed debit the bank account.

It is possible to ask for a deferment of fees so that they don't debit the account. But you have to act quickly. Once they actually submit the debit, they can't stop it. And they submit the debit a couple of days ahead of time.

So you should contact TurboTax Support ASAP to see if they can stop it and make other arrangements. They are open tonight until 9 PM Pacific (12 Midnight Eastern.)
