      <description>&lt;P&gt;For reporting of 1099-Div from a mutual fund company (in this case UBS), is it acceptable to enter a &lt;U&gt;summary&lt;/U&gt; of the total ordinary dividends, qualified dividends and total capital gains distributions for all accounts in the mutual fund.&amp;nbsp; Or, is it necessary that I enter the dollar amounts specific to&amp;nbsp;&lt;U&gt;each security description&lt;/U&gt;?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, For a 1099Div or 1099Int you can just enter the totals. &amp;nbsp;Is there a summary page or total at the bottom? For a 1099B you have to enter the individual sales.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;You might have a consolidated statement. That will have sections for 1099-Int and 1099-Div and 1099B. You need to enter each section in the right place.&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;So read it carefully and look for headings.... 1099-INT for interest or 1099-DIV for Dividends or 1099B for sales.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
