Only a one page standard return when I saved a file. Why was the return not shifted to a free return...free free free as you advertise.

Only you could have downgraded to the Free Edition or used the Free File website. Turbo Tax doesn't know that you didn't need Deluxe. Why did you upgrade?

When you started this year's return and the info was transferred in you were given the option to keep the Deluxe version or downgrade to the FREE version ... if you did not do so then and you have already filed or paid the TT fees then it is too late to do anything about the fee now.

Not too late next year...goodbye.

Did you use the IRS Free File website? It used to be called Tax Freedom. It is a separate website from Turbo Tax and not connected with Turbo Tax. It is a completely separate website.
