Tax Year 2021 transmissions are not available

no matter what I do I get this error, I tried doing my federal and state seperately. My tax situation is not complicated, just the basics. I am using the online software

NC, but I also tried to just file my Federal and it was the same error

The North Carolina Individual Income Tax Return Form D-400 is not yet available for e-filing. It is estimated to be available on 02/24/2022

Go to this TurboTax website for North Carolina state forms availability - https://care-cdn.prodsupportsite.a.intuit.com/forms-availability/turbotax_nc_online_individual.html

If you want to e-file your federal tax return now then change how you file the NC state return. This assumes that all of the forms and schedules included in your federal tax return are available for e-filing.

If using the TurboTax online editions click on File on the left side of the online program screen. On Step 3 of the File section click on Start or Revisit. Select the button File by Mail. Then change the filing status of the state return.

After the federal return is e-filed and accepted by the IRS you can e-file the state return when it is available for e-filing. Just use the same procedure and change the state return back to e-filing.

Thanks, I tired that with no luck. I just got off the phone with the turbo tax rep he said he fixed something on their end that was techincial and couldn't tell me what. He said everything should work in 24 hours. Guess I wll see tomorrow.

I tried the file by mail, I tried filing federal by itself. I tried deleting my state but once I did it restarted immediately, I tried deleting the forms. I paid by credit card. Nothing works.

Please check this IRS forms availability table to make sure all the forms you need are available to be e-filed. Here is the forms availability table state by state.

I tried federal only, it still wouldn't work. Shouldn't the review that says I am ready to file catch a missing form

We recommend you wait until the North Carolina forms are ready to file both your returns.

Ok but if I click file federal only why does it matter whats in my state returns

Are you getting an error in your federal return, or any type of message when trying to only file that return?

The same error when I did my federal, I have been online with a turbo tax person for about 2 hours rehashing everything I have already done for a second night in a row

I tried multiple browsers, the app on my phone all the same error the turbo tax rep said it was a server issue and wait 24 hours the samething they told me yesterday. If it was server issue I would imaging the discussion board would be flooded with that. It all seems like a run around to me at this point
