That does not sound right. You would not have been transferred from TurboTax support to an outside agency.

What phone number did you call? Was it 1-800-446-8848

This same thing happened to my parents. I Secure Solutions remote accessed their computer and installed the TT software for them and did a bunch of other stuff very quickly – so quickly you couldn't tell what they were doing – and sold them on a "lifetime firewall" subscription for $400. In hindsight, it all seemed suspicious and today they called their credit card company and refused the charge and canceled the credit card and my brother talked them through uninstalling WebRoot and TeamViewer so the company couldn't remote into their computer whenever they wanted.
