late February/mid-March. But do not amend until your original return has been fully processed.

Form 1040-X, for tax year 2022 is tentatively scheduled to be released on 02/23/2023. You can use this tool to find out when forms will be available. To amend previous years returns, use this link. @rsanteliz

If you used TurboTax online editions to amend the 2021 tax return, the Form 1040-X will be included in the PDF download.

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Start the 2022 online tax return by entering some personal information then click on Tax Home on the left side of the screen.

On the Tax Home webpage -

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Using a TurboTax CD, I efiled my 2022 tax returns on April 4, 2023, and paid the balances due. They were accepted by the IRS and State Tax Authority. The two checks for balances due cleared my bank account. A few days later I received a corrected 1099, and now I need to file amended returns.

I opened TurboTax, clicked on Amended return, and input the changes. Now I cannot find the 1040-X in the list of forms. In addition, they want me to pay again the balances due with the original return, plus the small increase in taxes due to the corrected 1099.
