I am so sorry. I missed that in the headline and I should have caught it. I apologize.

TurboTax desktop does not at this time support cryptocurrency imports. You will need to start an account online and import them there. You can request a refund for your desktop version if you need.

Here is the link to request a refund.

You can still enter your cryptocurrency transactions manually. But that will require that you group them and categorize them and mail in the return.

The desktop software will only import 1099-Bs or .TXF files. Any transactions not on an importable 1099-B or .TXF file have to be manually entered into the desktop software. The entry is exactly the same in both versions but the Online software allows the import or upload of CSV files for trading transactions. If you have rewards, those are reported as income, but not in the investment area with all of the trading transactions. Airdrops, along with promos and staking rewards, only become taxable once the taxpayer "acquires the ability to transfer, sell, exchange, or otherwise dispose of the cryptocurrency." To enter these (in either version), see this FAQ.

For trading transactions not on a 1099-B, they have to be manually entered into the desktop software. If you have a CSV file with lots of transactions you do not want to manually enter, you can use the online software to do that part and then finish your return in the desktop software. If you are interested in that approach, please see these full instructions. I have used these instructions and they do work. It works really well if you transfer in your 2020 tax file to the online software before uploading your CSV. That way, once you are done, the 2021 tax file that you open with the desktop software includes any carryovers from your 2020 tax return.

Here's where you enter or import your 1099-B in TurboTax:

Open (continue) your return, if you haven't already
Locate the search bar. Search for 1099-B, then
Select the Jump to link in the search results
Select Okay! on the screen Time to kick off your investments! OR Yes on the screen Did you sell any of these investments? then Continue
- If you see Your investments and savings or Your investment sales summary, select Add investments or Add more sales
When you reach Let's import your tax info, choose how you want to enter your 1099-B:
- To import your form, select your brokerage or financial institution from the list. Enter your sign-in credentials for your account, then select Get my form
- If you want to enter your 1099-B manually, select Enter a different way, then select your investment type on the next screen
On the following screens, answer the questions about your 1099-B
When you reach the Review your sales screen, the form you just entered should be listed
- If you need to add another 1099-B, select Add another sale. Otherwise, Continue

1. I have already bought CD version and installed it. So, how do I proceed to import trnsactions from Coinbase Pro version?

2. Does anyone know why Coinbase Pro is not sending 1099-B? Things would be so easy then.

3. Coinbasr Pro does not have any link to get 1099-B on the site!! All my transactions were done on Pro, and now they have moved my account to regular Coinbase version. The support there says they don't have access to Pro version data! How hateful is that?

Appreciate help from anyone. I don't want to manually enter several transaction.
