Tax forms not ready - Sch NJ dop not available to file ?

Hello,

I'm trying to file my taxes, but i get this at the end when using turbotax online for New Jersey taxes.

The Net Gains or Income from disposition of property will be available Feb 17, but what about the Sch NJ DOP form ? It looks like it won't be available to file online at all.

Do i have to do anything about it like mail it in ? Or will i be able to file online as usual after Feb 17 ?

I have had stocks & crypto that i bought and sold in 2020.

That's one form, "Schedule NJ-DOP, Net Gains or Income From Disposition of Property," not two separate forms. It is currently expected to be available February 17. (That date could change.)

I thought it was two forms.

Does the data depend on turbotax or the state of nj ?

The state is NJ. TuboTax has to wait for state forms because TurboTax submits the returns to them for processing your tax information and they send out refunds. Our systems must be coordinated with the state to translate properly. TurboTax processes tax information for the IRS and all states, however the IRS and the states create the forms to capture the laws. TurboTax receives these forms from the state as they are updated. Remember, TurboTax is not a taxing agency.

Do I need to wait for this NJ form before I can file my federal return? I'm ready to file it now. My message says the NJ DOP will be ready soon....no specific date. This is holding me up from filing my Federal return...I think?? Do I need to wait for the NJ form, or just go ahead with the federal return?

@lcharles74 You can file your federal tax return now, then file your New Jersey return when Schedule NJ-DOP is available.

I Updated my TurboTax today (Feb 17) for the Sch NJ DOP and it still isnt working properly. I am getting an error saying it needs to be updated...even after i updated my software.

Anyone at turbotax know when this will be resolved?
