Large number of w2g's in 2021 desktop cause system to get slower and slower, then finally non-responsive

I have around 30 w-2g's to enter. After 10 w2g entries, the systems slows down significantly. It keeps getting worse until it is totally non-responsive. It takes about 2-3 minutes for a simple field to populate and move to the next field. I spent over 8 hours over 3 days with multiple TurboTax support reps, and no one had an answer. We tried everything. My system is current (I even bought a new laptop after one rep told me I was the issue). I've never had this issue with past TurboTax versions or years. I can enter in summary (10 w2g's summarized as one entry), but the IRS recently returned my 2019 return with a huge bill. When I finally talked to them, they said I had to enter every w2g separately so it matches what they have. I like TurboTax, but it becomes non-functional with this issue. Do I have any other options other than switch to TaxCut?

Have you tried using TurboTax Online? This may be quicker for you. Assistance with switching over has been provided by clicking here.

Well to switch to the online version you would have to start completely over. I suppose you could fill out an online return for free and then switch back to your Desktop program to finish and file.

If you do start over in the Online version you can download the .tax2021 file and open it in your Desktop program to file.

I have same issue on Mac, slows down more after each w2g, so far turbotax has been no help, I know my computer is OK, just did a complete refresh and still same issue. Downloaded TT again, third time, Are you using Mac or Windows unit

Not an isolated issue, have read others have similar problem.

You may consolidate some of the W2G's if they are from the same casino with the same EIN. Please read this Turbo Tax link for more detailed information on how to handle reporting multiple W2G's

I'm using Windows, I finally gave up after all of the hours on the phone with support. Each time, I had to start over with a new support person and listen to them read a manual, but it was clear they didn't understand the problem.

I had been doing that, then received a letter from the IRS from my 2019 taxes a couple of months ago saying i significantly understated my income. I sent them a file explaining it all, basically that I combined w2g's with the same casino and same FEIN. They rejected it. I'm now having to file an amended 2019 return and inputting every w2g separately. It's likely I'll have to do the same when they get around to 2020 taxes because I combined them by casino and FEIN too.

I used turbo tax for many years, never has this problem until this year, I see others have the same issue, why doesn't TurboTax just fix the problem instead of work arounds that may or may not work. Am getting tired of reentering W2G"s, then find out they may not transmit.
