To enter, edit or delete estimated taxes paid (Federal, State, Local) -

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Deductions and Credits
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
On Estimates, click on the start or update button

Or enter estimates paid in the Search box located in the upper right of the online program screen. Click on Jump to estimates paid

ALL estimates (fed & state ) are entered in the FEDERAL section ...

To enter, edit or delete estimated taxes paid (Federal, State, Local) -

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Deductions and Credits
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
On Estimates, click on the start or update button

Or enter estimates paid in the Search box located in the upper right of the online program screen. Click on Jump to estimates paid

These do not appear on the scroll down menu for Windows 10 on-line version.

In the online version, Go to Federal - then Deductions and Credits and then scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid. Where do I enter my estimated tax payments? @dwk20

I have updated Estimates and other taxes paid 3 times as you have suggested. The amount of state taxes paid in 2025 is still incorrect on the schedule A. It is almost double what I paid. The program is importing some other number plus what I paid. This means i can't file federal or state electronically.

Federal Schedule A to itemize deductions? Schedule A is any state payments you actually paid in 2025.

So it could be....

A Jan 2025 payment for the 4th qtr 2024 tax return

A 2024 state extension payment made in 2025

A 2024 or prior state tax due paid in 2025 like on your 2024 tax return

Any 2025 estimates paid Jan 1 - Dec 31, 2025

But not a 4th qtr 2025 state estimated payment made in January 2026. That goes on next year's 2026 federal schedule A.

I thought of one more you can deduct on schedule A.......

A 2024 state refund you applied to 2025 is an estimated state payment
