We have used turbo tax for 5 years. We file 3 federal and one state. I usually post my son and daughter's state taxes just to see if I am doing them right. This year it has a pop up box asking if I want my one free state now. If I say no it won't let me use it. if I say yes WILL it let me look at the taxes but not file so that I can use the one state for my husband and I? or once I hit yes that is it?

The "one free state" in TurboTax desktop versions means that you can have one free state program to prepare your returns. You can use that state program for every return that you prepare, so if you all live in the same state, you don't have to pay for any additional programs.

You can print out and mail all of these returns for free, but if you e-file any of them, there is a $24.99 charge for that.
