2020 Taxes

Hello,

Last year I submitted my mother's taxes for 2019(successfully) and then 2020(unsuccessfully) about half hour after.

The 2020 tax return is not able to be Netfiled because the app views the return as 2019 when it should be 2020. I remember I marked the year correctly when filling out.

Please advise any help thanks

Last year? Like like April in 2021? Last year you could only efile a 2020 return. You had to print and mail 2019. So it thinks your 2019 return was for 2020. And to do 2019 you had to use the 2019 Desktop program installed on your computer.

So now you need to amend that 2020 return that got filed wrong with 2019 and make it for your real 2020 info.

Then you still need to do an original 2019 return. To do a prior year return you have to buy the Desktop program here,

Oh wow this helps a lot! Yes I am in Canada. Will amend 2020 return online and submit 2019 via mail.

I previosly bought assist and review package for the 2nd return that did not go through, can I still get this redeemed?
