If you are working for DoorDash, Instacart, GrubHub, etc. you are an independent contractor. You will be paying self-employment tax for Social Security and Medicare as well as ordinary income tax, since none of that is being withheld from your income. You will also have to prepare a Schedule C to report your business expenses.
