State efile has shut down Oct 15 2021

Trying to complete my taxes and can't because TurboTax decided to close out state efile as of Oct 15 2021, instead of Oct 16 2021. Awesome!!!

Wasted 1 hr on the phone with customer service to be told that this is a known issue and they are trying to fix it. Fingers crossed.

System crashed; it's back up. I was just able to efile state return.

As you can see it is never a good idea to wait until the last minute to efile ... there is always a crush in the last few hours.

All you can do is keep trying every few minutes. Clearing your cookies and/or switching browsers may help.

yes, and it's probably true for other brands of personal software. why do people wait until the last minute to file?

what a reply....not everyone has your life. why did I get hit with a serious life affecting illness that made living almost impossible.

you don't always need to reply to questions that you don't have answers to...just move on

I've handled clients that were terminally ill and died before the year was out. somehow they managed to get me the documents to prepare their return in plenty of time to file and only lived for a few more months. However, if you had Covid, I can understand your problem.
