Never responded back to them. So i owe them. I have no problem with that. I assumed I would pay them with my new taxes but i never received a letter saying i owe them.

Guess what I have 2 kids. Not the first stimulus have i received. No taxes during the pandemic. I filed my taxes myself this time i can prove everything. So its the of june no taxes no stimulus. Please someone tell me what I need to do. This is bs. My family is okay but my major bills and things need to be handled. When u are low income u pay what u have to and save the rest for taxes but no taxes filed in late Feb. Please tell me what to do or how to get all my money. Do i call irs an havent received a letter.
Re: Refund and Stimulus

Your post is very confusing. We do not understand who the "lady" was-----did you pay a paid tax professional to prepare your return? Are you saying that you received a letter from the IRS about your 2019 tax return and you ignored it? Big mistake. You do not ignore letters from the IRS---you have to deal with them. Do you still have the letter?

(what the letters from the IRS mean)

I GOT A LETTER FROM THE IRS

https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/3605673-i-got-a-letter-or-notice-from-the-irs

As for your 2020 return----did you use TurboTax to prepare your 2020 return? Did you complete the recovery rebate credit section in Federal Review to seek the 1st and /or 2nd stimulus payments?

You have a complex situation since you did not follow up when the IRS contacted you. And millions of 2020 refunds are delayed because the IRS is severely backlogged. TurboTax cannot intercede with the IRS for you. You have to contact the IRS yourself, or possibly contact a Tax Advocate for help.

To call the IRS:IRS: 800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Mon-Fri

Listen to each menu before making the selection.

First choose your language. Press 1 for English.

Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.

Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".

Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".

Then press 3 "for all other questions."

Then press 2 "for all other questions." It should then transfer you to an agent.

TAX ADVOCATE

At the following IRS website, find the USA map and click on your state, and it will give you the number of your area's IRS Taxpayer Advocate.

http://www.irs.gov/uac/Contact-a-Local-Taxpayer-Advocate
