If you are referring to foreign tax credit related, there are e-file issues with the Form 1116 in general including the Form 1099-DIV and AMT. Please sign up for notification here: Form 1116 reject error

I am referring to a bug that precludes me from filing using efile. TT says I cannot efile when selecting the simplified method for AMT for foreign tax credit.

I always filed with efile in the past and never got this error. It must be a bug... but I can’t find any answers for this question. Is TT going to fix this soon?

There are e-file issues with the Form 1116 in general including the Form 1099-DIV and AMT. It's not fixed yet, unfortunately. Sign up here for notification: Form 1116 reject error

I will suggest you either print to paper file or file extension: https://turbotax.intuit.com/irs-tax-extensions/
