EIP Amounts Incorrect

Hello,

The EIP 1 & 2 amounts listed on our IRS accounts online are greater than the amounts we actually received. I am married and file jointly. I checked both mine and my wife's IRS accounts online. The total from both exceeds what was actually deposited in our bank account. Is this to be expected?

Yes, I had the same problem, since my income decreased after I filed my 2019 taxes. I had a higher income for 2018 due to bonuses. I was able to get more back since I did not receive the full amount.

@HotCha21 It is not uncommon to receive your stimulus checks in more than one payment, so you may end up receiving more than what was deposited so far. If not, you will probably receive a notice explaining why your payment is less than what was listed on your tax return.
