Why turbo tax printed form 540NR is different from the online one at , the beginning part is quite different. will that cause any issue for filing amend of CA state tax return

The actual forms should match. The preview mode does not show the actual form. Here is the actual 2020 Form 540NR California Nonresident. If your form does not look like the actual form, you may need someone to determine if there is an issue with your program.

For an amended return, the same form - but the top left box is checked, as amended.

I already print Form 540NR output, it is not same as the actual form.

I'm using the latest version of turbotax, how to report a bug for turbotax?

the print out one looks the following, the original form is very organized table, but the turbo tax just some text lines although the information are same.

The picture that you attached cannot be viewed on our system. When there is a problem with how a form is printing, it is normally attributed to the program on your computer that lets you create and view pdf files. TurboTax prints the form to a pdf file. Check your system to be sure your pdf software is up-to-date and functioning.
