Partial Corrected 1099-DIV Received after eFiled completed

Hello,

I received a corrected 1099-DIV today after completed the eFile last week with acceptance from IRS.

I see in the support letter they attached to the corrected form that the change is related to one ticker/stock only and supposed not to substitute the entire original 1099-DIV.

Is that crazy right ?

The change is from "qualified dividends" 100% to "return of capital" 100%.

How to enter into TurboTax Desktop the corrected 1099-DIV in this case ? since it is not a substitute...

You will need to amend your 2020 tax return. For instructions on how to amend, see: How do I amend my 2020 return?

Once you have started the amended return:

Type "Dividends" into the search window and hit enter
Click on "Jump to dividends"
Click "Edit" next to the 1099-DIV you need to edit
Make changes or additions to any boxes that changed on the corrected Form
