How to edit prior year transferred data

I transferred a prior year tax data into my current year tax software (Premier Window version). I went back in the prior year software to correct an error (have not yet filled that prior year with IRS yet). How do I edit in the current software the prior year data I corrected? Do I need to delete all I entered in the current software and start over so that the correct prior year software data can be transferred into the current year? Please advise. Thanks

As you go through your tax return within TurboTax, you'll see what we transferred over from last year and is already entered into some fields. You can update or remove the info as you come across it.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to edit the prior year info when it has already been transferred into the next year software. This was per guidance from the phone support team. I had to start all over and retransfer the corrected prior year into the next year software. Thanks for the reply.
