You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large Orange button labeled "Transmit my returns now".

After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.

Well I think the question is 'WHAT' do I file, not 'How' do I file.

You file with whatever forms the IRS requires to report your income.

Sometimes these forms are simple, like a wage earners [w2], social-security earners [1099-sa], blah, blah, blah.

Sometimes it is difficult, like a business owner, w multiple investments, foreign & domestic, properties, stock & bond holdings, real-estates stuff, and a lot, lot more.

So the forms you need to properly file, are dictated by the types of income you generate.

Good luck trying to understand this, because the IRS simply 'tries' to understand and implement the laws that congress 'tries' to enact.

If this all becomes too overwhelming, simply disregard the baggage & make your own rules for taxes like the former president did. Hmm. Why would he not release his taxes as most candidates & serving presidents do?

I digress. The question was what not how. Both are very vague.

OK, my lis-dexlia caused me misread the OP question.

It was : 'What do I do to file'?

Simple question. My bad answer. Now i think you just need to submit your tax return in a timely manner, or risk tiny penalties or late fees compare to what is incurred on your other 'creditors'. Pay egregious fees to a private loan, or pay reasonable fees to your own government, which goes more directly back to you ??? Hmm.

Why is it never advisable to take a loan to pay your taxes??? Hmm??? Cause the IRS has a better 'loan'. Just ask Trump who thinks his 'loans' will just go away.

>> Lawyer: I am not responsible for what I write if it harms others in any way.
