Per TT, needed to file by mail. Mailed return 2/16/21. Per "Where's my Refund" there is nothing. With problems with USPS, how do I know they have received my return, let alone processed my refund. Is there someone to contact?

It is frustrating not knowing if the IRS received your return. Due to COVID-19, the IRS expects delays for paper returns. Usually, the IRS says to allow 4 weeks before checking the status of your refund and that refund processing can take 6 to 8 weeks from the date the IRS receives your return.

With all the programming changes due to the American Rescue Plan Act, I would expect closer to a 6-7 week window to start checking for your refund status. If you mailed your on 2/16, lets assume the IRS received it on 2/20. 6 weeks would put it at around the 1st week of April before processing would begin. I would start checking "Where's my Refund" the 1st or 2nd week of April.
