COBRA reimbursement due to covid

Hi,

Sorry if this is off topic but I've not found anywhere else to ask this. Does anyone have any information on how the legislation passed for COBRA relief for people who were laid off due to Covid, specifically between April and September 2020? My understanding is that people who had COBRA (and paid for it) during that time are eligible to be reimbursed. Is that going to somehow be done through people filing their taxes (like the waiver of taxes on unemployment benefits in 2020)?

it will occur through your employer; nothing to do with taxes

Thanks for the quick answer. Apparently I mistakenly thought it was to help people on COBRA from April - September 2020 (not 2021), which would make more sense. That's why I thought it might somehow tie in with filing our 2020 taxes. Oh well.
