TT Online is only good for the current tax year (2020), and the system doesn't know if you got a new IP PIN.

That's my point! The useless Turbo Tax software, and Intiut knows that you need to get a new one each year because TT online is valid only for one current tax year. Are they so stupid that they don't know the IRS IP PIN policy? I doubt it? Turbo Tax should ask you to enter your current tax year IP PIN when you start filling out your taxes (i.e. when updating your profile or uploading last year data to start working in the current year). That way you easily avoid getting your tax forms rejected when e-filing because the useless Turbo Tax used and uploaded the IP PIN from last year tax forms, which they know it will not work for the current year, since they are the "tax experts " that they say to be. That the customer needs to get a new IP PIN from the IRS each year. However, they can push you the Credit Karma product in your face. So stupid of them.

the confusion might be that there are 2 sets of pins. One is the 6-digit IRS pin.

The other one is the 5-digit Turbo Tax pin. If you are filing online, TT asks that you create a 5-digit Turbo Tax pin shortly before you press the final button to transmit. Only 5 digits fit in that space. I don't know where the IRS pin goes, maybe hand-written on the hard copy.

Anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
