The Form 8962, Premium Tax Credit, will be generated only after you enter the Form 1095-A that you received for your health care coverage from one of the state Marketplace Exchanges.

To enter your Form 1095-A -

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Deductions and Credits
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Medical
On Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A), click the start or update button

Or enter 1095-a in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to 1095-a

Once I've completed the 1095-A section of my e-file, is there another prompt for the Form 8962 or do I need to mail the paper copy to the IRS? Or, by filling out the 1095-A portion complete the information needed? Thanks in advance!!

Entering 1095-A is all you need to do to generate Form 8962. To print out the Form 8962, you should print it through the Print Center while you are logged into your account:

To print your 8962:

Click on Tax Tools.
Select Print Center.
Click Print, save or preview this years return.
Select Form 8962 and print the form.

To get your refund as soon as possible, follow the directions in the letter. Typically they will say not to amend return, but just to complete Form 8962 and fax or mail it to them with a copy of your Form 1095-A.

After the Form 1095-A has been entered the TurboTax program will create and populate the Form 8962 automatically.

If you have not filed the 2019 tax return it will be included in the tax return sent to the IRS when you file.

I need to know if I can reenter my income tax file which I have already filed to add a 1095A on 8962 which I didn't receive until a few days ago.

No. The TurboTax online editions are only for tax year 2020.

You can access the 2019 return your prepared using TurboTax online using these steps:

Sign in to your TurboTax account here if you're haven't already.
Scroll down to the bottom and select Your tax returns & documents.
Select the year you want, then select Download/print return (PDF).
You can also choose to download the .tax file if you want to open the return in the desktop product (to amend it, for example).

If the year you're looking for isn't there, it might be in a different account. Go here to find all of your accounts, one of them should have the return you're looking for.

Yes, if you have not already filed your return, all you need to do is enter your 1095-A into TurboTax and the 8962 will get filed with your return. But if you have already filed and received a notice from the IRS requesting it, please follow the instructions here. @Rachelefreeman15

So much for free. I don't understand why we have to but the software " only" because we got this form. What happened to free? It would cost me more to buy the program & file then to simply submit the 1095 A form with the 8962 form to the IRS. Silly.
