American Rescue Plan

When will the desktop version be updated for the American Rescue Plan. The online version was updated this past Saturday (3/20/21). I have prepared my taxes on both, I can not continue with my desktop version (updated on 3/22/21, with the update version dated on 3/18/21) and the online version is quadrupling the price when I select to file. I've already paid for the delixe verision, I shouldn't have to pay for it again.

You are correct. The Online version of TurboTax has been updated to reflect tax law changes in the American Rescue Plan, but Desktop has not been updated yet. I can assure you they are working on it, and it will be updated soon. You won't have to pay again to file with the Online version, you'll just have to wait a little longer.

the desktop version normally updates weekly over Wednesday night into Thursday morning has been my experience.

According to the forms list there is a scheduled update for 3/25 - before midnight.

So I downloaded the update today, and it won't update. I keep getting an error code 1603. I folllow the instructions, and it still will not update. I even did a manual download and tried to update that way. Again, I get error code 1603. Uninstalled any malware/virus protection/firewall that I have, and still get the error. Is it just a bad file?
