Im not recieving stimulus payment

Hello everybody, me and my friend filed for covid-19 stimulus payment at the same time. He got 1st $1200 2nd $600 and 3rd $1400. But i didnt get any stimulus payment. Im waiting 1st and 2nd payment for a long time. At irs2go refund status it says "Your tax return is still being processed.". Me and my friend using same bank account which belongs to me. Could this be the reason why we get single payment? İf not, whats the problem?

I'm surprised that your friend's stimulus payments were deposited into your account if the account has your name on it. Perhaps those were your stimulus payments?

If you included the Recovery Rebate Credit in your return for the stimulus payments you didn't get, the IRS may be taking longer to process your return in order to reconcile it with its stimulus payment database. Just keep checking your status on the IRS Check My Refund Status tool or the IRS2Go app.

If 21 days pass and you still haven't received your refund you can call and speak to an IRS agent. To contact the IRS, please review the steps and information below:

To reach a live agent at the IRS support number, follow these steps:

1. Select your preferred language.

2. Press 2 for “Personal Income Tax”

3. Press 1 for “Form, Tax History, or Payment”

6. Do not enter your SSN or EIN. It will ask you twice; do not enter anything.

Of course we are not sure about whose payment. But my when friend try to file again its income was $0 mine was $1800.

So it sounds like your friend did not get a stimulus payment. If they haven't yet filed their tax return for 2020, they can claim the stimulus payment by claiming the Recovery Rebate Credit on their 2020 tax return. This credit will allow them to get any stimulus money still owed—as a credit on the tax return instead of a separate payment.

To do this in TurboTax, please follow these steps:

Enter the information in your return.
Click Federal Review at the top of your screen.
On the screen, Let's make sure you got the right stimulus amount, click Continue.
You will be asked about the amounts of first round and second round stimulus payments you received.
TurboTax will then calculate the amount of stimulus payment remaining that you are still entitled to. This will show as a credit on line 30 of the 1040.

When he try to refile he got that: "Your federal tax return was rejected. What happenedR0000-932-02 - If "Amended Return" checkbox is not checked, then taxpayer TIN in the Return Header must not be the same as a TIN of a previously accepted electronic return for the return type and tax period indicated in the tax return.".

You cannot 're-file' a tax return. Once it has been accepted at the IRS then you must wait until that return is processed. The error shows that a tax return was already filed and accepted with your social security number (taxpayer identification number - TIN).

The IRS is processing as quickly and with diligence as they work on processing the third round of stimulus payments, at the same time, due to the enactment of the American Rescue Plan. They first must reconcile the tax return with the first and second stimulus. There will be some delay this year so do not take any action right now as you wait.

I mean with "refile" he try to fix return because of he is rejected. So it means he got his payment i didnt.
