what code section do you think TT has influnaced? why do you think it's illegal? many companies use lobbyists to try to get tax laws changed and it is perfectly legal, see a lawyer if you believe the activity is illegal. by the way, Turbotax and other tax software providers can not change the tax laws. only Congress can pass laws to change the Federal tax code (besides the IRS and courts) and the POTUS must sign the changes into law. so maybe you should sue Congress.

The Tax Code is plenty complex already and TurboTax doesn't need to do anything more to make a lot of money.

already some previously low priced tax providers are charging more that TurboTax.
