Filing Back Taxes from 2017 - Where to Send Payments / Conflicting Information

I'm filing individual back taxes for 2017 and am a resident of Arizona. I also have income from Kansas that needs to be reported and filed. I used Turbotax 2017, but the filing instructions show a different address than what's on the IRS/state web sites. See below.

Federal:

TurboTax 2017 says to send payment to San Francisco, CA

IRS Web site says to send to Cincinnati, OH

Arizona:

TurboTax 2017 says to send payment to PO Box 29205, Phoenix AZ

AZ Dept. of Revenue says to send payments to PO Box 52016, Phoenix, AZ (at least for 2020 taxes)

Kansas:

The TurboTax and current Kansas DOR addresses are the same.

Should I use the current filing addresses in all cases and ignore what TurboTax is showing?

Generally there are different mailing addresses for returns based on the mailing address/state of the taxpayer.

Also there can be different mailing addresses for returns that are paper filed or e-filed.

Some returns containing a barcode are mailed to a different location than those not containing a barcode in Arizona.

If your return has a barcode, please use:

Arizona Department of Revenue
P.O. Box 29204
Phoenix, AZ 85038
