Why won’t turbo tax efile my federal?

If turbo tax won’t efile my federal tax, do I have to mail my federal and wait till it is accepted to efile my NYS return

The cpa I talked to stated my file shows an amended return, so it was suggested I wait till March 25 when the federal government accepts amended returns. The problem is my forms were never filed.

My 2020 taxes were not filed. The system would not let me efile because I had two items that needed fixing. I printed my files but decided to try efiling again. The two people I talked to at turbo tax could not resolve the issue, and recommended I wait till the federal government accepted amended returns on March 25.

I have two questions can I file with the irs thru their efile or can I redo them on turbo tax.

You don't need to amend your return if it wasn't filed. You might try to do it through the IRS e-filing, however when you use the IRS e-file, you actually do it through third parties and the same errors could appear again. If it's impossible to fix the errors, you can print and mail your tax return to the IRS.
